    THE MISSION

    The Building Hope Project is a collaborative initiative that promotes the use of art as a foundation for healing, learning and empowerment in under-resourced communities around East Africa.

    THE PROJECT

    The Building Hope Project takes students on a journey to discover positivity within themselves and their community, through mindfulness and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). Each project implements community led public art to strengthen active citizenship and healing through vibrancy in the community.

    Help us bring Art & Education to our Youth

    2016

    Building Hope Project launches in Rwesero Rwanda with 2 classroom builds and a community lead public art. This project allowed for additional students in the village to attend school and provided beautification and empowerment through an artistic creation.

    2017

    Building Hope Project builds an Eco-friendly playground and interior beautification with interactive activities for both students and staff.

    2018

    Building Hope Project will pilot its’ Social-Emotional Learning (SLE) program in northern Uganda, a community heavily affected by The Lord’s Resistance Army. Our mission is to use techniques of SLE and mindfulness to explore the concept of ‘building hope’ within one’s self and to promote mindful leadership.
